THE WALT LOVES SEPTIME’S ORGANIC KITCHEN

Just 26 years old, chef Bertrand Grébaut has become one of the youngest Michelin-starred chefs in France. In 2011, he opened his eco-friendly restaurant, the Septime. In 2013, a year and a half after the opening of this restaurant, it was named by a jury «49th best table on the planet», and the following year the Michelin Guide awarded a star to its establishment. Enough to build his reputation.

We let ourselves be conquered by some details like the flowered garden, or the bathroom with old mirrors, the careful visual identity (the chef Bertrand Grébaut is a former graphic designer reconverted)), the pleasant warmth of the dining room and its tables of raw wood, the bouquets of peonies carelessly placed here and there. Then come the starters, of an astonishing simplicity and accuracy, raw and fresh products, others worked in a more technical way, singular associations that delight the palate, like this tartare of veal, cherries, poached almonds, Tomato water jelly and Begonia.

A RESPONSIBLE CUISINE IN THE HEART OF PARIS

In addition to offering plates that will shake your taste buds, according to his clients, Bertrand Grébaut has the reputation of being a committed chef for the environment.

However, Septime is in the middle of the 11th arrondissement. It is difficult to supply it in a nearby vegetable garden. Bertrand Grébaut tries as much as possible to obtain from local and organic farmers as much as possible.

To get to Septime, we recommend public transport, including the Paris metro line 9, and getting off at the Charonne stop, Septime is just a few metres away.

Then we advise you to go there for lunch, to enjoy the menu «Carte Blanche en 5 étapes», which will allow you to discover all the talent of Chef Grébaut, at a reasonable price for a starred restaurant.

Septime is a fascinating restaurant that is admired for its commitment and creativity. So don’t wait any longer, and book your table for an unforgettable experience!
